For those who have been following the company’ tradition for a very long time, the much anticipated iconic model needs no introduction. The new 2018 Ford Mustang is soon hitting our streets with its classy design and tons of features and given this car is months away, we are still in the dark on what we are likely to see. However, from what we have heard and seen so far, here is a little bit about this new ride.
2018 Ford Mustang Exterior and Interior Design
Although we are very unlikely to see some major changes on the outside, we will certainly see some smaller updates and improvement that will make the new model even more attractive. Just like the last model, the 2018 Ford Mustang comes with a long wedge shape and the signature sloped GT nose with the dual ducts in the front that create a more memorable look. Through black and white color combination, a more elegant look will be achieved on the outside. Some of the most notable changes from the outside include a revised front bumper, redesigned grille, wider air vents among others.
With an array of sophisticated upgrades made for the new 2018 Ford Mustang, the inside is going to be much better than that of its predecessor. For comfort and enough space for the passengers, the cabin will be spacious and seats covered in leather. We are likely to see an eye-catching aviation themed inside styling. The interior styling has been made neat and organized than never before. It does not even stop there; a metallic chin up bar sweeping across the dashboard and large gauges with tactile knobs, as well as, switches to provide improved control. As if that is not even enough; Ford has taken a page out of Ferrari’s book, an F1-inspired steering wheel with all the much needed control for car function mounted.
2018 Ford Mustang Engine and performance
The 2018 Ford Mustang will be powered with 3 engine options. First is a 3.7 L V-6 engine which can deliver 300 HP and 280 lb-ft of torque. Second is said to be a 2.3 L 4-cylinder EcoBoost power unit, which can produce up to 310 HP and 320 lb-ft of torque, and last and probably the strongest is a 5 L V8 with 435 HP and 400 lb-ft of torque. The engines will be paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission system.
2018 Ford Mustang Price and release date
As we wait for the official figures from the manufacturer, it is rumored that the price base 2018 Ford Mustang model will be in range from $22,000 to $23,000 while the new Mustang GT Premium Convertible could go even go up to $40,000 and more. For the release date, this car is very likely to be introduced to the public by the middle of 2017.
