US version of this model will be 185 inches long, 72.4 inches wide and 64.3 inches tall. Its wheelbase will measure 109.9 inches.

However, new generation brings improvement in areas where this SUV needed a little bit extra help – space and gadgets. Upcoming model offers more headroom and legroom as well as bigger rear windows which make the drive on the back seat much more comfortable. Under the hood of the 2018 VW Tiguan is placed a 2.0T Inline-4 engine capable to deliver up to 184 horsepower and little bit over 200 lb-ft of torque. Power from the engine will be transmitted to either front- or all-wheel drive via an eight-speed automatic transmission. This gearbox provides better fuel economy for the model, which is expected to hit more than 30 mpg on the highway. Four mode control knob is also available offering Onroad, Snow, Offroad and Offroad Individual drivemode options. However 2018 VW Tiguan will come with other engine options. For Europeans it has completely 8 included into the offer, while for US that number may be lower, but will definitely include diesel units. What is known is that all engine variants will be 4-cylinder and turbocharged.
2018 VW Tiguan Price and Release Date
Pricing for the 2018 Tiguan will not be as high as some might expect it to be. Base MSRP should be around $33,000 which is its base price in Europe. Release will not happen this year for US. As a matter of fact, we can expect new 2018 VW Tiguan to leave its Mexico factory sometime during the first half of next year, 2018.
